Meet Janks

Janks has been an NHS doctor for over 10 years & has had a lot of experience managing women’s health through all parts of their journey

Having also become a personal trainer, she took to providing free workouts during the pandemic in 2020 to help people during a challenging and lonely time. This was when ‘Planks with Janks’ where a community of over 100 people was created bringing people together through fitness. As well as working as a GP during the COVID outbreak, she became an anchor to many providing up to 5 online classes a week and monthly walking challenges. She gave people something to look forward to, bringing people together even when they were apart.

After the birth of her first child in 2022, she developed severe postnatal depression and fitness became her therapy. She became very aware of how engaging in healthy habits & daily movement could benefit her as a new mother. Following on from this, she found it her mission to help empower women through their journey pre and postnatally to be the strongest they can be in mind & body. This is where Prenatal & Postnatal with Janks were born.
